This Rotary International project is based out of Plainview Texas and is
dedicated to the reduction and elimination of hunger world wide through feeding
programs and the development of projects that will contribute to food
sufficiency.
Hunger Plus, Inc. was founded in 1997 by J.B.
Roberts and a group of Texas Rotarians who saw the possibilities for
feeding large numbers of people with surplus produce that is donated to a
local food bank. The produce is dehydrated to retain food value, extend
shelf life, reduce weight, and provide a palatable source of nutrition at a
minimum cost. Dehydrated foods sponsored by Hunger Plus are now in use on
every continent except Antarctica.
Hunger plus is now Co-chaired by fellow New
Bremen / New Knoxville Rotarian Robert H. Kuck II.
