Crown Building Tour

The club was treated to a tour of the refurbished Howell's, Plattner and Isern buildings at Monroe and Main Streets in New Bremen that will soon house the Accounting, Credit, Human Resources and Benefits operations.

The building boasts state of the art lighting and a unique Axion ceiling that improves HVAC efficiency.  Some of the original flooring, brickwork and fireplace mantels were preserved and are incorporated in the interior decor.  The 40K ft2 building has five conference rooms and a limited number of hard wall offices.  It will mostly be populated with work cells situated in open work space to improve communications and worker efficiency.  A basement area will be used for secure document storage and also houses the HVAC systems.

The building utilizes over 6 miles of wood trim work which accents the interior decor.  The exterior facade to the west was designed to reflect the look of the old elementary school and is intended to present a welcoming appearance for visitors entering town from the west on SR 274.  Green space will be provided along the south side of the building to enhance the appearance and copper trim and guttering highlight the roof lines.

Crown plans to begin populating the building on July 7th and it will initially house approximately 80 employees.
