New Bremen Mayor Jeff Pape
New Bremen Mayor Jeff Pape addressed the club and presented an overview of the state of the village.
He shared about various projects in process in the village including the move of Safeway packaging from Minster and Sidney to the Bunker Hill Industrial Park, Crown's renovation of the old IGA building and adjoining buildings, infrastructure improvements on Franklin Street and others.
On the horizon for 2008 to 2010, plans include storm sewer, curb and sidewalk improvements in the Teton subdivision, electrical substation work to install a backup system, opening of the K-D Park and the update of the New Bremen sign that was located on the North end of town between First and Second Streets. Also, plans are progressing for construction of the lock keeper's house near Lock One that will house the Chamber of Commerce Office and the MECCA Office.
