Career Day at New Bremen & New Knoxville Schools

After the students shared refreshments with the Rotarians at the New Bremen High School, 2007 Club President Neal Brady addressed the group of about 70 New Bremen and 30 New Knoxville juniors to give them an overview of Rotary before they headed out for their job shadowing experience with local businesses.  Rotary member volunteers drove the students to the business location of their choice to afford them the opportunity to learn about professions of interest to them.  Many students confirm their original choice and others decide to look at other career paths as a result of this experience.

Special thanks go out to Rotarian Urban Buscher who heads up this annual effort to coordinate the outing between the schools, students and the businesses.

Any student who was not available on the 6th but who wishes to participate in a shadow experience should contact their school counselor who in turn can contact Urban to make the necessary arrangements.
