Grand Lake Health Systems Women's Imaging Center
Denise
Pugh, Manager of Medical Imaging at
Joint
Township
District
Memorial
Hospital
, addressed the club about the recently
organized Women's Imaging Center.
Denise
shared that from the moment you walk through the doors of the new Women's
Imaging Center
at JTDMH
, you'll feel the difference. The expert,
caring staff is trained and dedicated to ensuring your privacy, dignity and
comfort. The state of the art facility maintains a quiet, non-clinical
atmosphere that instills confidence, but also puts you at ease. The
technology at the center is the best in the Region. The physicians and
staff are exceptionally skilled and sensitive to the needs of women of all ages.
As the
preferred choice for healthcare in the
Grand
Lake
region, we've adopted a philosophy of never
compromising on the services and technology we provide to our patients.
That’s why we’ve equipped our new Women's Imaging Center with the
most advanced and accurate diagnostic and screening tools available.
Our bone density DEXA-scanner assesses bone health, detecting
osteoporosis and diagnosing vertebral fractures.
We offer top of the line digital mammography with computer-aided
detection. If further testing is
required, a radiologist will conduct other tests which may include a
Stereotactic breast biopsy, a digital-image guided test that pinpoints breast
abnormalities and obtains tissue samples for diagnosis.
Our ultrasound technology ---both breast health and obstetrics –is
unsurpassed.
At the Center, you’ll receive your diagnostic results the same day the tests
are performed. Screening results
will be provided as soon as they are available, and always within two weeks.
We offer individual patient education, and we’ll assist you in
accessing any additional resources you may require.
At Grand Lake Health Systems, we are committed to the health and well-being of
every patient. The new Women’s
Imaging Center at JTDMH takes this a step further by being expressly designed
around the unique healthcare needs of women.
Our experienced staff has been specially trained to guide patients
efficiently and compassionately through every step of any process.
You
will never feel rushed or pressured. You’ll
get timely answers to your questions and access to the information and expertise
that will help you make important decisions.
And of course, we’ll coordinate any follow-up care to save you time,
energy and worry.
