Kevin Bergman, 2008 Bremenfest Committee President

Kevin Bergman, 2008 Bremenfest Committee President gave a report on the 2007 Bremenfest as follows.

The 2007 Bremenfest was considered a success with highlights being the Parade and the New Bremen Fire Department as the Grand Marshall, the Chili Cook-off and Auction, and a great concert from the featured band, “Red Ball Jets”.  

Kevin noted a few changes were implemented from the 2006 festival:

• Contracted with a different ride company, Burton Ride Company proved to smooth running operation.
• Tent layout was changed for better crowd movement
• Beer tickets and purchase of beer was streamlined
• Two big name Bands performed ; The Danger Brothers and Red Ball Jets

Also, he highlighted some concerns for next year’s event:

• Dust control or paving of the parking lots
• Moving the headquarters tent 
• Moving chainsaw demonstration to a better location
• Include a fishing derby for kids
• Celebrate and recognize 175^th Birthday of the Community

 Profits for the event are expected to be up 5 to 7 %.
