Carolyn Bock - Auglaize County's 2007 Woman of the Year.
Carolyn Bock, Auglaize County's 2007 Woman of the
Year, addressed the club and shared some of her personal story and
philosophy. She is a resident of New Knoxville Ohio.
Carolyn was chosen for the award for her exceptional work within the community
and for putting other people's needs ahead of her own. An example of her
giving nature is that in 2006, she donated a kidney to a close friend, Jean
Hunt.
Carolyn spoke humbly of the award and her experiences, but most importantly
shared how everyone can do great things in their own way. Her speech was
very motivational and to augment her message, she showed an excerpt from the
movie "Facing the Giants". The excerpt demonstrates how a person
can be challenged to do more than they believe they could accomplish on their
own. She shared that as demonstrated in the movie, her perspective is
driven from a personal faith in God.
