Career Day at New Bremen & New Knoxville Schools

After club members shared doughnuts juice and coffee with the students, 2006 Club President Bill Wente addressed the group of about 70 New Bremen and 30 New Knoxville juniors to give them an overview of Rotary before they headed out for their job shadowing experience with local businesses.  Rotary member volunteers took the students to the location of their choosing to give them the opportunity to learn about professions that they feel may be one that they want to pursue as a career choice.   Many students confirm their original choice and others decide to look at other career paths as a result of this experience.

Special thanks go out to Rotarians Urban Buscher and Jerry Lehman who head up this annual effort to coordinate the outing between the schools, students and the businesses.

Any student who was not available on the 7th but who wishes to participate in a shadow experience should contact their school counselor who in turn can contact Urban or Jerry to make the necessary arrangements.
