Now is serving as the general manager of the company. Bruce explained that the next big deal in TV will be the conversion from Analog to Digital(HDTV). This will be comparable to the conversion from B/W to color. Bruce explains that right now about 97% of US household can receive the digital signal, but only about 3% of those homes have sets that are capable of receiving those signals. Also, presently programming in HDTV is still pretty limited. The cost to WLIO to convert from Analog to Digital will be between 4 and 5 million dollars. Also speaking were Vickie Shurelds, WLIO's program director, Lon Teagles, WLIO's community news director, and Kevin Creamer, the stations sales manager.
